The Philips AJL308 digital clock and photo frame is a really cool concept. You can choose to display photos in a slide show or have them appear next to the time and date in 'clock' mode. It certainly makes a decent gift for someone looking for a basic clock radio with digital-imaging perksWe Like: Sleek look; MP3 and WMA playback; MPEG-4 and DivX video files playable from thumbdrives and SD/MMC memory cards; novelty alarms and "relaxation" sleep modes
We Don't Like: Low resolution images; tinny sound; less intuitive user controls; images load slowly; not all MPEG-4 files are recognised
Judgement: Marrying a clock radio with a digital photo frame is an awesome concept, but the Philips AJL308 needs to be improved upon before it becomes the perfect union
