SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium (Reuters) - McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton seized a thrilling Belgian Grand Prix victory on Sunday after an astonishing duel with Ferrari’s world champion Kimi Raikkonen over the closing laps.
Raikkonen had led until championship leader Hamilton reeled him in on the penultimate lap. The action did not stop there, however, with Raikkonen again taking the lead before losing control and crashing into a wall.
Brazilian Felipe Massa finished second for Ferrari with Germany’s Nick Heidfeld third for BMW-Sauber.
Hamilton’s fifth win of the season left him with 80 points to Massa’s 72 with five races remaining.
